Balint Markai reports that, following an out-of-competition test carried out on March 30th, he received notification from the ITA in recent days regarding an anomalous result. The irregular finding concerns urine analysis; blood tests showed no anomalies. The case is classified as an adverse analytical finding. 

"I cannot explain this test," states Balint Markai, "because I have not committed any irregularity. What I can hypothesize is food contamination, and for this reason we will have the products or food items analyzed, as much as possible. I want to clear the team of any responsibility, given that they also internally conduct a campaign for ethical sport. We are awaiting the analysis of the B sample. For now we must wait".

Markai is fully cooperating with the competent authorities and has initiated independent investigations to clarify the situation. Further updates will follow as soon as they become available.
