After crashing during training and injuring his knee, Jarno will be forced to miss the Ardennes classics. The Lotto Intermarché team announced this, specifying that «The injury continues to cause discomfort to the cyclist, preventing him from performing at an optimal level and therefore forcing him into a period of rest».

Widar in these first months of racing activity has only participated in the Figueira Champions Classic, which he finished in fourth place, the Volta Algarve and the Faun-Ardèche Classic, which however he did not complete.

The athlete, who last year won the Liège–Bastogne–Liège U23, will now focus on his recovery, constantly monitored by the team's medical staff.
