Andrea Tarallo, the Lazio-based Italian junior, continues to impress with his performances. At the finish line in Ponte a Egola in the first of nine races scheduled for the traditional "Pasqualando" event, he claimed his second personal victory following his win in Massa and the fifth for Team Vangi Tommasini Il Pirata di Calenzano. A success that mirrors the one Tarallo achieved in Massa.
The course was completely flat, with an extremely fast pace (over 46 km/h average speed), controlled by Team Vangi throughout, especially in the final kilometers. Tarallo's decisive attack in the closing stages saw him cross the finish line with a two-second advantage over the group, with his teammate Verdirame taking second place. The most dangerous rivals for Team Vangi came from Pool Cantù GB Team with the Veglia-Gregori pairing, who secured third and fourth positions. Also noteworthy were Kolarski, Gileno, and Bonciani, who confirmed their strong form shown in the first month of racing here in the Pisa province. The juniors race saw 98 riders at the start, and for Tarallo it was a splendid confirmation, much to the joy of his parents Vladimiro and Vanessa, who we should note are cyclists of excellent caliber; as they say, good blood runs true, and young Andrea certainly proves it.
