Cofidis is moving forward in defining its men's and women's rosters for the coming seasons and, well in advance, has announced that both Nadia Quagliotto and Nicolas Debeaumarché will defend the yellow and red colors also in 2027 and (in the case of the twenty-eight-year-old from Mâcon) in 2028.
Having joined the court of Raphaël Jeune one in 2024 and the other in 2025, both in these years have carved out a fundamental role within the two rosters, standing out both for their presence in races and for their human qualities already evident from the bike. These are the reasons that have prompted the management of the French team to keep them close for the immediate future.
"It is a real pleasure to announce the contract renewals of Nadia and Nicolas with such advance notice" declared the General Manager of Cofidis through the team's official channels. "Nadia is a key member of the women's team where she plays a crucial role because she races with great precision and commitment. Away from races, she is a very cheerful person who always makes everyone smile. As for Nicolas, he is a pillar of the men's team, a tireless worker behind the scenes, essential to the group. In every race he gives 100%, always putting his experience and knowledge at the service of the team. Their contract renewals are a good sign for the entire team: they will contribute to giving even more confidence to all our riders."
For Quagliotto, still with zero professional victories but this year able to finish the Setmana de la Comunitat Valenciana never finishing worse than fifteenth, this will become her third season (with the next one) lived in the French team, a representative squad where her qualities have been increasingly appreciated over time.
"I am very happy about this renewal because it shows that the team has confidence in me. I feel fortunate to be able to contribute to the growth of this young team that is taking shape year after year" said the twenty-nine-year-old from Montebelluna. "What I like here is that I can support my teammates and, at the same time, have the opportunity to play my cards. Last year I achieved good results and I know that this helped me secure this dual role on the team. We have a truly fantastic group and here I really feel at home. We are like a family and this certainly helps us give our best."
Speaking of the group, but on the men's side, after the serious crash at the Tour of Poland 2024 (where he fractured seven vertebrae) Debeaumarché has managed, with dedication and passion for the profession, to rise as a fundamental team player, exercising in an admirable manner the noble art of domestique work.
"I felt a great sense of satisfaction when I learned that I would be renewing my contract. It shows that the team appreciates my role and what I can give during races" explained the winner of a stage at the Tour du Loir et Cher 2019.
"The fact that the extension happens so early in the season is a clear signal of what awaits us and allows me to close a chapter, a period that has been very stressful for me after the accident. I really like the role I have on the team today: I am both a domestique and, increasingly, also a race captain, a role acquired thanks to my experience that I exercise, alongside my teammates, not only in the saddle, but also away from races. I would like to sincerely thank the staff and Raphaël for giving me the opportunity to continue this wonderful adventure together" concluded happily the class of '98 after signing an extension that will see him wear the Cofidis jersey until 2028.
