Sunday, March 29th promises to be an intense day for Autozai Contri, called upon to face a double appointment on two profoundly different courses that will test the characteristics and ambitions of the entire roster.
On one hand, all eyes are on the G.P. Marcello Falcone scheduled in Terracina, a 103-kilometer race with a demanding and selective profile. The course, nervous and unpredictable, alternates fast stretches with challenging climbs and continuous changes of pace, and includes two King of the Mountains classifications, including the long ascent towards the Sanctuary of Madonna della Civita. A course that rewards the most complete riders and could be decided precisely on the steepest slopes. On the Lazio roads will race Davide Zanei, Marco Pierotto, Thomas Mariotto, Andrea Furlanis, Xavier Bordignon, and Federico Ros.
At the same time, the rest of the team will be in Veneto for the 64th GP Rinascita di Ormelle, a traditional appointment on the calendar that takes place on a flat 9.8-kilometer circuit to be repeated ten times. A race of a completely different nature, which requires tactical awareness and race-reading ability, and could be decided in a sprint without, however, ruling out attempts from a distance. At the start will be Lorenzo Ceccarello, Alberto Donà, Manuel Salmaso, Gianmaria Chinello, Tommaso Bottaro, Ludovico Affini, Gabriele Bertagnoli, Filippo Casagrande, Mathias Paludetti, and Edoardo Riccadona.
A double appointment, then, for Autozai Contri, which on Sunday presents itself at the start with a large and motivated roster, determined to make an impact on both fronts.
