Seven of the world's best teams will take part in the Tour de Hongrie which in 2026 will celebrate its centenary: Bahrain Victorious, Jayco AlUla, Lidl – Trek, NSN Cycling Team, Soudal Quick-Step, UAE Team Emirates and XDS Astana. The presence of two high-level sprinters has been announced: Tim Merlier from Soudal Quick-Step and Fernando Gaviria from Caja Rural RGA Seguros.
Of the 19 participating teams (excluding the Hungarian national team), Polti VisitMalta is the most experienced: the Italian-Spanish team is participating in the Tour de Hongrie for the ninth time. On the other hand, three debutants: Modern Adventure, Campana Imbalaggi and Solme Olmo Arvedi, all making their debut at the Tour de Hongrie. Soudal Quick-Step and NSN Cycling Team return to the race after a three-year absence, while Cofidis will participate in its first Tour de Hongrie since 2019.
It is expected that a dozen Hungarian riders will be present in the starting list of 114 athletes. In addition to the six members of the Hungarian national team, there will be the Bahrain Victorious pair formed by Attila Valter and Bálint Feldhoffer. Two young Hungarians, Ádám Révész and Boldizsár Zsembery appear in the preliminary starting list of Campana Imbalaggi. It remains to be seen how many Hungarians the two Hungarian teams, MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort and Team United Shipping, will field.
The 47th edition of the Tour de Hongrie will take place from May 13-17. The ProSeries event will be broadcast across all continents.
