From August 25-30, 2026, Val di Sole will once again host the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for the fourth time in its history (2008, 2016 and 2021 were the previous occasions): a week of world championships that promises to become a concentrated dose of adrenaline, technique and passion.
In Daolasa di Commezzadura, in the heart of Italy's first UCI Bike Region, a now historic bond is renewed, which has made Mountain Bike much more than a passion, but part of the identity of this territory and all of Trentino. The organizers of Grandi Eventi Val di Sole and the Union Cycliste Internationale have officially announced the program for a week that promises to be full of emotions.
FIVE FORMATS, SEVENTEEN TITLES AT STAKE. WEDNESDAY 26 THE FIRST MEDALS
Seventeen world titles will be up for grabs in Val di Sole, distributed across five different formats: Olympic Cross-country, Cross-country Short Track, Team Relay, Downhill and e-MTB. Seven days in which every turn, every jump and every climb or descent could make the difference between a dream and glory, with the best of the international scene ready to compete on courses recognized as among the most technical in the world.
After athlete registration on Monday, August 24, the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday, August 25 by the opening ceremony scheduled for 6:00 PM, preceded by the first Cross-country and e-MTB training sessions, a discipline introduced for the first time in the world championships precisely during Val di Sole 2021.
Wednesday, August 26 will be the day of the first medals: after the traditional track walk on the legendary Black Snake course, scheduled from 8:00 AM, the e-MTB will take center stage, with the women's race (10:00 AM), followed by the men's event (11:30 AM). In the afternoon, the Cross-country team competition, the Team Relay, will take place, with six competitors for each national team: appointment at 5:00 PM.

A race that is worth not only a world jersey, but also the opportunity to gain a privileged position in the starting grid for the Olympic Cross-country on Sunday.
