Yesterday, in the Salone dell'Arengo of the Palazzo del Podestà in the heart of Faenza's historic center, the official presentation of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone took place. A convivial day that represented the opportunity to unveil the novelties of the 2026 season and for a group photo in Piazza del Popolo in Faenza, the city where the team led by president Gianni Carapia has been based since 2019, the year the project started from an idea by Davide Cassani, promoted and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, APT Servizi Emilia Romagna and Consorzio Terrabici.

The 2026 season has started in the best possible way: after just two racing weekends, the team can already boast Nicolò Pizzi's victory at the GP La Torre and Alessio Menghini's podium finish at the Firenze Empoli, concrete signs of the team's ambition to compete at high levels this season as well.

A squad that over the years has consolidated its presence in the world of cycling and that since 2023 has been among the leading Continental teams thanks to the active support of the Emilia-Romagna company Technipes, with president Raffaele Barosi and siblings Claudio, Stefania and Giuseppe, a true team that carries forward the company founded in 1988 and which today is a point of reference internationally in the industrial packaging sector for solid products, with exports worldwide, from Europe to the Far East, Americas and Africa and offices in Dubai and the USA.

At the speakers' table were Niccolò Bosi, regional councilor of the Emilia-Romagna Region; Davide Cassani, President of APT Servizi Emilia Romagna and project originator; Claudio Barosi, representing the Technipes company of which he is Production Manager; Gianni Carapia, President of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone. Greeting the team's event was the Mayor of Faenza, Massimo Isola, very close to the Faenza-based squad as well as Vice Mayor Andrea Fabbri and Assessors Martina Laghi and Massimo Bosi, present in the room. The day also saw the presence of Stefania Danzi from Italmobiliare for Caffè Borbone, and Giuseppe Serrago and Joshua Fumagalli from Whuis.com, testifying to the importance of the partnerships that accompany the team this season.

"For several years the Region has supported initiatives and encouraged the holding of major sporting events for several reasons - said Niccolò Bosi, regional councilor of the Emilia-Romagna Region -. Among these, setting an example for young people, but also because events have a potential to attract tourism to the territory. Support for this team represents a different but winning and stimulating challenge: promoting our territory around Italy and abroad through these young men who are true ambassadors of Emilia-Romagna".

"This year too the team puts all its commitment and passion at the disposal of these 13 young men - said Davide Cassani, President of APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna and project originator -. Seeing one of them turn professional is the greatest satisfaction, because it means we are giving concrete opportunities to realize their dreams. This is a project born in Emilia-Romagna, with the main sponsor coming from the territory we represent. After eight years we continue to believe that sport is the best way to promote our region, and our athletes are true Ambassadors of Emilia-Romagna on the roads of Italy and Europe".

"We are happy to continue collaborating with a serious, competent and motivated group, characteristics we find in our company and that we see in this work project that allows young people to grow in Italy and abroad - said Technipes president Raffaele Barosi, not present in Faenza due to a work commitment, but with siblings Claudio and Stefania representing a company that strongly believes in the project supporting young people. "The season ended well and now it has started well, we are happy and we continue convinced in the project - Claudio Barosi added in Faenza -. We hope the young men become someone and that in any case, above all, they put in the effort and do their best to perform well. Our goal is to help these young men grow, and possibly see them win as well".

The 2026 season opens with a development of great significance: Caffè Borbone enters the team's naming, which from this year presents itself as Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone. A significant step that testifies to the consolidation of a strategic partnership that began in 2024 and is now even more ambitious. Caffè Borbone, a leading company in the roasting and single-serve coffee business, strengthens its commitment alongside main sponsor Technipes and the #inEmiliaRomagna territorial marketing project, confirming its closeness to young Italian cycling talents through concrete support that ranges from presence on team kits to the organization of the Caffè Borbone Grand Prix for the Juniors category, which reached its third edition in 2026.

"We are particularly proud to strengthen our commitment alongside Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna by entering the team's naming - says Marco Schiavon, CEO of Caffè Borbone -. The presence of the Caffè Borbone logo on the athletes' jerseys is a symbol of concrete support for a sports project that over the years has proven capable of enhancing young talents and telling the territory well. We strongly believe in the values of passion, determination and team spirit that this team brings to the roads of Italy and Europe and we are happy to contribute to its growth. Our collaboration, started in 2024 and now further strengthened, confirms Caffè Borbone's willingness to invest in sport as a tool for development, sharing and opportunity for new generations".

Important signs of growth for the project, as highlighted by Gianni Carapia, President of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone: "Over these years we have built a credible team, maintaining a united and competent working group, with a strong Emilia-Romagna identity. We work to maintain high standards in every area: our sponsors are of great prestige, they invest significantly in us and deserve the results they expect. 2026 has opened with Pizzi's victories and Menghini's podium, signs that are going in the right direction".

Among the novelties of this season stands out the entry of Whuis.com on the jersey, a leading platform in Italy for searches and investigations specialized in verification and analysis of real estate data. The 2026 kit confirms the presence of historic partners such as Suzuki Italia, which in addition to visibility on the kits provides the team's official support vehicles, and FTC, with significant presence on the side of the jersey and on the shorts. Among the new entries is also La Fabbrica Ava, which joins the family of team sponsors.

On the technical front, the team continues to be equipped with Pinarello bicycles (Dogma-F on road and Bolide for time trials), a partnership of great substance that makes the kits recognizable in black and red, created by the cycling apparel brand NEB18 which is characterized by its commitment to quality, with the use of advanced technical fabrics that ensure breathability, lightness and resistance thanks to Klimair technology. Also noteworthy is the collaboration with Salice for helmets and glasses, while Biotex confirms itself as a partner for technical underwear.

2025 closed with results of great satisfaction: the victory of the Italian U23 team time trial championship in October represents the crowning of a season of growth, enhanced by individual victories by Marco Martini on the road and Alessandro Cattani in the time trial. The team's sporting project has seen excellent results over the years, with numerous victories, about ten national team call-ups and the transition of three athletes to Professional teams (Tarozzi in 2022, Monaco in 2024 and Crescioli in 2025).

During the presentation sports directors Michele Coppolillo, Francesco Chicchi, Mauro Calzoni and Andrea Gallo presented the 13 athletes that make up the 2026 squad, a young and motivated group that in terms of staff and professionalism has few equals at the Continental level.

The team roster includes: Tommaso Anastasia (2006), Emanuele Ansaloni (2000), Riccardo Archetti (2005), Mattia Ballerini (2007), Tommaso Bambagioni (2005), Thomas Bolognesi (2006), Alessandro Cattani (2005), Marco Martini (2005), Leonardo Meccia (2006), Alessio Menghini (2004), Matteo Paltrinieri (2007), Nicolò Pizzi (2006), Ivan Toselli (2006).

The team's growth path continues thanks to the support of partners Technipes, APT Servizi Emilia Romagna, Caffè Borbone, FTC, Suzuki Italia, Whuis.com, Pinarello, NEB18, Molino Naldoni, La Fabbrica Ava, FSA, Vision, Enervit, Selle Italia, Sidi, Salice, Biotex, Garmin, Lotto, Bertoldoshop.it, Banco BPM, Consorzio Terrabici, Personalizzandia, Bike Passion and Pneus Tecnica Faenza: a network of realities that share common values and that allows the team to face sporting challenges in Italy and Europe with solid foundations.
