Polisportiva Monsummanese chose the Grotta Giusti in Monsummano Terme for the presentation of the team and 2026 program. Present were the institutional authorities of the Municipality of Monsummano Terme, along with cycling officials including the president of the Tuscany Regional Committee Luca Menichetti and the technical commissioner of the Italian junior national team Dino Salvoldi for the official launch.
Ten athletes in total, with returning riders Andrea Bonciani, Niccolò Cianti and Marco Parigi, a trio certainly capable of playing an important role within the Valdinievole team. Seven new arrivals making their junior category debut: Walter Vaglio, Daniel Sani, Luca Biancu, Andrea Mugnai, Stefano Niccolini and Brando Farsetti. But the real novelty of the squad is the arrival from Australia of Oliver Ward, a rider in his second junior season who will arrive in Italy in April. Ward has collected continental track titles, along with other impressive performances in his home country.
The Pol. Monsummanese formation will be led by returning sports director Alessio Gradassi and new arrival Andrea Bardelli. On the organizational front, the club will organize a night race on June 18 in the center of Monsummano open to beginners, youth and junior categories, as well as a two-day event, also in Monsummano Terme, with an individual time trial on Saturday, July 11, while Sunday, July 12 will host the Memorial Marino Romani and Luigi Scrima.
