The revived Tour of Sardinia concludes today with the fifth stage, the Nuoro – Olbia covering 182 km. On paper, the final stage appears destined for a mass arrival; while the altitude profile presents no particular difficulties, once the long but gentle climb in the first 20 km is overcome, hazards could however come from the wind, given that for numerous kilometers the route will wind not far from the sea.

After overcoming the slight initial altitude difficulties, after the first 50 km the route becomes predominantly flat, except for some brief undulations with the passages through Siniscola and San Teodoro. About 40 km from the finish, the city of Olbia is crossed via the wide elevated road, without passing under the finish line. The route heads east to cross the town of Golfo Aranci before returning towards Olbia and entering the final straight, approximately 600 meters from the finish line, located on Via Isola Bianca.
