A team increasingly committed to building its future, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe: a team that has chosen to further strengthen its development structure with two important additions.
Talent development is a fundamental element of the Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe team's DNA. This is reflected in a unique structure that, beyond the UCI WorldTeam, includes the Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe Rookies (U23) and the Grenke - Auto Eder junior team, an international development program widely considered a benchmark in international cycling.
Sporting results underscore this commitment: last season, Grenke - Auto Eder was by far the most successful junior team in the world, while the Rookies formed the strongest development team among all WorldTour squads. In total, three athletes made a direct transition to the WorldTeam last year, and four juniors moved to the U23 squad, demonstrating impeccable talent development.
"For us, talent development is much more than simply inserting athletes into the WorldTeam. Our long-term ambition is to be the most attractive team in professional cycling, and that's precisely why we are investing in the talents of tomorrow."
With the latest recruitment in the scouting department, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe takes another innovative step. With Dutch athlete Roxane Knetemann, the team acquires not only an elite former athlete but also a qualified educator with many years of experience working with young athletes. In her new role, the focus will be on training, mentoring, and long-term development of emerging talents: "The Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe structure offers ideal conditions for developing young cyclists, not just athletically but also personally. My goal is to support talents throughout their journey and prepare them step by step for the demands of professional cycling," explains Roxane Knetemann.
Joining Knetemann is Michael Hepburn, who begins a new chapter just weeks after concluding his professional career. At Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, his focus will be on scouting and structured support of early-identified talents during their development path: "I can't wait to leverage my experience and contribute to creating structures that offer young cyclists clear guidance. For us, scouting is not just about identifying talents, but also about creating the right environment for cyclists to fully realize their potential."
