Thanks to the commitment of the Baron family, Italy will once again host three important stages of the Nations' Cup reserved for Junior category riders. This was announced by its promoter, Rino Baron, who revealed that the races will take place in the municipalities of Pieve del Grappa, Fonte, San Zenone degli Ezzelini, and at Lago le Bandie in Spresiano. The three stages are scheduled for Saturday, June 6 with the road race starting at 2 PM from Fonte and finishing in Pieve del Grappa: Sunday will feature the individual time trial starting at 9:30 AM over a distance of 3.8 km at Lago Le Bandie; while the third and final stage is planned for the afternoon starting from the municipality of Spresiano at 2:30 PM with start and finish at the same Lago Le Bandie.
The 2025 edition was characterized by the dominance of Trentino rider Alessio Magagnotti, now with Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe Rookies, and received praise from the presidents of the International Cycling Union David Lappartient, UEC Enrico Della Casa, Italian Cycling Federation Cordiano Dagnoni, Veneto CONI Dino Ponchio, Veneto Region Alberto Stefani, and the mayors of the involved municipalities: Pieve del Grappa's Annalisa Rampin, Fonte's Matthew Sommadossi, San Zenone degli Ezzelini's Fabio Marin, Spresiano's Marco Della Pietra, as well as Remo Mosole from the Le Bandie Sports Center.
The participation in the 2026 Nations' Cup stages in Italy appears extraordinary. The event will include a total of 11 races worldwide, featuring representatives from 21 nations and 4 teams from Italian Regional Committees, totaling 150 athletes.
At the start will be the national teams of Italy, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, United States, Spain, Australia, Israel, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Mexico, Portugal, Hungary, and Serbia. The regional teams will be from Veneto, Lombardy, Tuscany, and Lazio.
"Our commitment began several months ago, and for this, I want to thank my family who is always by my side," emphasized Rino Baron. "On Saturday, April 11, starting at 4 PM, at the Royal Palace in Pieve del Grappa, we will present the Nations' Cup stages. I extend heartfelt thanks to the various mayors, my friend and tireless Remo Mosole, the Veneto Region, and the sponsor friends who have believed in our Giovanni Juniors Project for years.
