With the statement we report in full below, the organizers of the Setmana Ciclista Volta Femenina de la Comunitat Valenciana have announced the cancellation of today's stage.

Due to the weather forecast for today, February 14th, and the orange alert issued by AEMET (Spanish meteorological agency) because of the strong wind gusts expected throughout the Alicante province, stage number 3 of the Setmana Ciclista Volta Femenina de la Comunitat Valenciana between Agost and La Nucia will not take place.

This is a collective decision taken by the organization in consensus with the teams, cyclists, safety managers, public and political representatives, the Civil Guard, and the jury president as a representative of the International Cycling Union.

The organization prioritizes the safety of the cyclists and all people involved in the race. This will be the first of the 39 editions of the Setmana Ciclista where the race cannot be carried out.

The race will resume on Sunday for the fourth and final stage between Sagunt and Valencia.
