At the UAE Tour, the Mexican rider will be accompanied by Adam Yates.
Five days before the official start in Madinat Zayed Majlis, the UAE Team Emirates-XRG is the first team to fully reveal its roster for the UAE Tour 2026, a stage race that, from February 16th to 22nd, will be valid as the third World Tour event of the season.
Defending champions following Tadej Pogacar's victory in 2025, the Emirati formation will try to repeat their success by relying on Adam Yates' experience (recently second at the Muscat Classic and third in the Tour of Oman's general classification) and the freshness of Isaac Del Toro, who, as scheduled, will make his absolute season debut.
Alongside them, with the task of supporting their ambitions, they can count on the important presence of Kevin Vermaerke (who arrived this year at Mauro Gianetti's team) and the work that, in the tricky desert stages that could be affected by wind, strong pace riders such as Nils Politt, Florian Vermeersch, and Rune Herredgodts can perform.
These riders will also be called upon to help Juan Sebastian Molano, the only sprinter (already victorious this year) of a team seriously intending to make its mark in multiple ways in the home race, an event where high-level competitors will certainly not be lacking on all fronts.
Whether for sprints (with the presence of riders like Jonathan Milan and Matteo Malucelli) or for the final victory (an objective for which Remco Evenepoel will certainly be in the race), many riders will be at the start capable of playing their cards and challenging the ambitious team of President Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, which, in case of a final victory, would strongly confirm itself as the most successful team in the short history of the race.
