Jasper Philipsen's season will start on February 18th with the Volta ao Algarve, but Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix are the races where the Belgian will aim for victory. The Flemish rider from Alpecin-Premier Tech will be at the start of the Volta ao Algarve next week, then his schedule will include In Flanders Fields Middelkerke-Wevelgem and Through Flanders. We'll see him again at Ronde van Brugge, then Scheldeprijs, Omloop, Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and Nokere Koerse. It will be a spring full of commitments and the Alpecin-Premier Tech sprinter doesn't want to miss a single opportunity.
Philipsen has 58 victories in his palmares, with 7 obtained in 2025. Among his most important successes is the first place at the 2024 Milan-Sanremo, achieved with the help of his teammate Mathieu van der Poel, 10 stages at the Tour de France, 6 at the Vuelta a España, a second place at Paris-Roubaix, a Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and also 2 victories at the Classic Brugge-De Panne. If 2025 did not go as he hoped, Jasper Philipsen is confident in a very different 2026 and his winter preparation went smoothly. Philipsen, who has a contract with Alpecin-Premier Tech until 2028, will again have a dual role this year, trying to win the Classics and help Mathieu van der Poel conquer the top podium in the most important races: we'll also find them together at the Tour de France, with the intention of bringing home the maximum number of stages and the green jersey of the points classification.
