Numerous cycling personalities have worn the torchbearer's mantle during these long weeks of the Olympic torch's journey. Filippo Ganna was the first, starting in Athens, and last night, Gianni Bugno symbolically closed the series in his hometown of Monza.

The two-time world champion traveled a city route, part of a group of torchbearers representing various commitment areas: Riccardo Montalbano, Marco Oliviero, Francesco Fasiello, Sara Bonfiglio, Giuseppe, Angelo Ferrari, Eleonora Vico, and Gianni Bugno. They traversed the spaces of the Verga Center with the Olympic flame, reaching the Sport Therapy gymnasium, welcomed by families, children, and the center's staff.
