The 2026 season begins in the best possible way for Remco Evenepoel. In his first outing with the new Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe jersey, he led his team to victory in the Trofeo Ses Salines, a team time trial of 23.8 kilometers that the German formation covered in 23'55" at an impressive average of 59.4 km/h.

Behind Ralph Denk's selection, which also included Lorenzo Finn, Mattia Cattaneo, Gianni Moscon, Nico Denz, Florian Lipowitz and Maxim Van Gils, the surprising Movistar of Enric Mas (also making his debut this year) stopped the clock at 23'59", thus securing second place ahead of Jayco-AlUla, third at 17" from the day's winners.
