Jonathan Milan is unbeatable and today he conquered the second stage of the AlUla Tour. This is the twenty-seventh victory in his career for the Friulian and the second consecutive one in the 2026 edition of the race, but the possibilities for further success are not exhausted and Milan has promised that he will continue to try.
"I think today was our perfect scenario" - said the satisfied Lidl Trek Friulian -: "I'm really happy with how we worked and how we controlled the race. I'm satisfied because we showed that we know how to move in various situations".
Once again, the work of Lidl-Trek was perfect. The team managed to keep the Friulian safe throughout the race, then put him in the best position for the finale.
"With this team, everything comes quite easily. In the end, I was in the perfect position. Even the initial part of the sprint was perfect and then I just had to sprint and give my best. It's only the second day of the season and everything is already working well: I hope we continue like this for the whole year, I'm really happy with how we started 2026".
Milan feels good and is proving it with the two successes just arrived: "We came to AlUla in good condition. I think we are really at a good level, so I'm also very happy about this".
Tomorrow's stage will not be suitable for sprinters, but the Friulian said he might try to win again on Friday: "We might not see each other tomorrow, but the day after tomorrow I hope so. Tomorrow's finale, with the uphill finish at Bir Jaydah Mountain Wirkah, is not suitable for me. But the day after tomorrow we'll try again".
