On January 28, in Rome, at the Chamber of Deputies, the presentation ceremony of the Coppa Italia delle Regioni will be held, an initiative coordinated by the Professional Cycling League, led by President Roberto Pella, in the presence of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana.

During the event, the Italian excellence in professional cycling will also be celebrated, with recognition for two internationally prominent managerial figures: Luca Guercilena, General Manager of Lidl-Trek, and Andrea Agostini, Chief Operating Officer of UAE Team Emirates.

A prize strongly desired by President Roberto Pella and endorsed by the League Council for two managers who, in recent years, have decisively contributed to strengthening the role of Italian cycling at the top of the world panorama.

In 2025, Andrea Agostini closely followed the extraordinary achievements of Tadej Pogačar, culminating in the victory at the Tour de France, the world championship title, and the fifth triumph at the Giro di Lombardia. Luca Guercilena, for his part, celebrated a season of great prestige thanks to the cyclamen jersey at the Giro d'Italia, won by Mads Pedersen, the green jersey of the Tour de France claimed by Jonathan Milan, and the historic success of Giulio Ciccone at the Clásica de San Sebastián.

Two WorldTour leading teams that also stand out for their strong Italian presence, not only within the athletes' rosters but also in technical, organizational, and managerial staff, confirming the value and centrality of Italian expertise in international cycling.

At the athlete level, Lidl-Trek can count among the men on Giulio Ciccone, Simone Consonni, Jacopo Mosca, Matteo Sobrero, Jonathan Milan, and Andrea Bagioli, while in the women's sector there are Elisa Balsamo, Gaia Realini, and Ilaria Sanguineti.
In the UAE Team Emirates, in the men's field, Filippo Baroncini is present, while the women's team features Elisa Longo Borghini, Silvia Persico, Erica Magnaldi, Greta Marturano, and Eleonora Gasparrini.
