The Triveneto Cyclocross Trophy once again made a stop in the province of Verona. In Legnago, on the banks of the Adige River, the Legnago Bike Cyclocross was held, organized by the Giomas Cycling Society on a new location compared to the previous edition, with over 340 registered athletes.
The Men's Open race featured an exciting duel between two Friulians and a Veronese, namely Tommaso Tabotta (B-Team Cyclocross), Ettore Fabbro (DP66 Pinarello), and Kevin Pezzo Rosola (Fas Airport Guerciotti). During the final lap, Ettore Fabbro lost the wheels of his opponents after attempting numerous attacks. The head-to-head between the two leaders continued until the short finish straight, where Tommaso Tabotta entered first and was able to raise his arms to the sky. From the podium, Tommaso Ferri (Fas Airport Guerciotti), who had a good start, and Leonardo Ursella (Jam's Bike) finished 4th and 5th respectively.
The Women's Open competition was dominated by Asia Zontone (Jam's Bike). The experienced Friulian athlete beat her rivals by almost a minute. A Friulian podium, with the 2nd and 3rd places going to Juniors Carlotta Petris and Rachele Cafueri (DP66 Pinarello).
In the Junior race, victory went to Treviso native Pietro Deon (DP66 Pinarello), who had already demonstrated his superiority during the initial lap. Behind him, 45 seconds back, the Friulian Matteo Bulfon (B-Team Cyclocross) and the Veronese Nicolò Preto Martini (Hellas Monteforte) completed the podium.
The competitions for cadets offered solo finishes. Among the second-year cadets, Friulian Alessio Borile (DP66 Pinarello) prevailed, among the first-year cadets, Lombard Nathan Longhi (Fas Airport Guerciotti), and among the female cadets, Matilde Carretta (Gs Mosole) and Eleonora Flaviani (Mtb Novagli), from the second and first years respectively.
In the Beginners category, victories went to Padua native Luca Bacchin (Sanfiorese) and Tuscan Ilary Ceccarelli (CC Appenninico).
Among the Masters, victories went to Stefano Gasparetto (Tteam) in Bracket 1, Carmine Del Riccio (Sunshine Racers Nals) in Bracket 2, Stefano Nicoletti (Bealtrami) in Bracket 3, Giovanni Parro (Zero5) in Bracket 4, and Giulia Ballestri (Beltrami) in the Women's category.
