The Solution Tech-Nippo-Rali Team continues to define its 2026 roster by officially announcing the signings of Santiago Umba and Kamiel Bonneu, two riders with high-level experience who will strategically strengthen the team's stage race capabilities, both in terms of general classification and stage wins.
Santiago Umba, born in 2002, is a pure climber, with characteristics particularly suited to mountain routes and stage races of medium to high altimetric difficulty. After moving to the WorldTour, he has shown consistent performance and solidity in general classifications, achieving results such as winning the Tour d'Alsace, second place overall at the Giro del Friuli, and a top 5 at the Czech Tour. In the 2026 project, Umba will represent a reference for general classifications and a key element in the most selective stages.
Kamiel Bonneu, born in 1999, coming from Intermarché-Wanty, brings a more complete and offensive profile, with proven ability to make an impact in stage races. He has collected stage wins at the Arctic Race of Norway and the Tour of Britain, along with a fourth place in the general classification at the Czech Tour. In 2026, he will be one of the team's key riders, aiming for stage wins and high-level general classification placements.
"I am very satisfied with these two signings," declares Serge Parsani, Team Manager of the Solution Tech-Nippo-Rali Team – "Santiago and Kamiel bring experience, quality, and results, even at WorldTour level. They are riders who can be protagonists and provide concrete contribution to the team in stage races."
"After a period of uncertainty, I am happy to have found a team that allows me to continue my professional journey," explains Kamiel Bonneu – "I believe this is the right environment to rediscover my best level, and I hope to repay the team's trust with good results."
"I am extremely motivated by this new opportunity," states Santiago Umba – "I am joining a team with a clear and ambitious project, in which I am convinced I can further grow as a rider. The goal will be to work consistently to be competitive in stage races, improve in terms of consistency, and aim for important results throughout the season. I know I still have wide margins for improvement and believe the next years could be the best of my career; with my new team, I feel I can also take on a leadership role in some races."
