The Equipo Kern Pharma continues to strengthen its roster for the next season with a truly special signing: the Taiwanese Ho Yen Yi turns professional after growing through the Giant Grassroots Program, a process that reinforces the team's commitment to developing talents from the ground up, and having ridden this season with Team Finisher.
"I am very happy and grateful to have the opportunity to become part of a team of Kern Pharma's caliber. Their teamwork and professionalism are incredible, and it's an honor to be part of it. I know that next season will be the biggest challenge of my career, and I am ready."
Following in his sister's footsteps, 24-year-old Ho Yen Yi began cultivating his passion for cycling at a young age, before joining his school's cycling team at 14. "In Taiwan, there aren't many races for young cyclists, so I almost always rode for fun and for health, first in mountain bike and then on the road," he recounts.
Later, he had the opportunity to participate in Giant's Grassroots program, a global project designed to develop young cycling talents from around the world with the support of the Equipo Kern Pharma structure.
Following this pathway, Ho joined the Equipo Finisher development team in 2023: "At first, it was difficult to keep up with the high intensity of competitions in Spain, but I continued to learn, train, and race with the team until I gradually found my rhythm."
