The first reinforcement for the 2026 season of Swatt Club comes from Denmark. The Italian team, winner of the national road title among professionals last June with Filippo Conca, has recruited the twenty-five-year-old Mads Andersen, a sprinter from Odense who comes from two quite productive seasons with the Continental team AIRTOX-Carl Ras.
With this team's jersey (where he arrived after an important three-year stint with Team Coloquick), Andersen has claimed all five of his victories (in .2 races) so far in his career, highlighting a turn of speed and ability to anticipate that have earned him, in addition to victories in various national races, first places at the Giro Himledalen and GP Rik Van Looy this year, and victories at the Dookola Mazowsa and Tour of Lithuania in 2024.
Thanks to this addition, Carlo Beretta's team will be able to unleash a decent arrow in the various sprint-finish races they will participate in during the coming months, occasions in which Andersen (this year for the first time in his career at the start of a World Tour race at the Copenhagen Sprint) will have the opportunity to relaunch his name and stand out in order to aim for a professional contract, as successfully done in the last two years by Asbjørn Hellemose, Mattia Gaffuri (who moved to Team PicNic PostNL) and the aforementioned Conca.
Waiting to see if the 2000-born Scandinavian will be able to follow in their footsteps, the curiosity remains to discover who, alongside him, will defend the colors of Swatt Club in the coming months - a team that has received numerous membership requests in recent weeks and which, at the moment, has yet to announce its full roster for the coming year.
