Nienke Vinke, a 21-year-old Dutch rider who won the young rider classification at the 2025 Tour de France Femmes, will leave the Picnic PostNL team at the end of the year to join SD Worx Protime, with whom she has signed a three-year contract. "We are convinced that in the coming years Nienke can grow to become a stage race athlete and achieve high-level results in the Ardennes Classics," says sports director Danny Stam about Vinke.
Fourth-placed in the U23 European time trial championship won by Federica Venturelli, the talented Dutch athlete has strung together several important placings, including eighth place at the Flèche Wallonne and ninth place in the general classification at the Vuelta Espana Femenina. Commenting on her season, Vinke clarifies that she has some regrets about the Tour de France Femmes: "I hoped to do better in the general classification (she finished nineteenth) but, partly due to a puncture in the penultimate stage, I didn't manage to. However, winning the white jersey at the Tour is of course something very special," she explains.
Referring to her new adventure, Nienke declares: "There are great champions and very experienced athletes in the team, and I hope to learn a lot from them. The team has a winning mentality, and I hope to help my teammates achieve new victories while continuing to grow myself. My personal goal is to do well in the Classics and stage races".
