The image we've been hoping to see for months comes from the Emirates: Filippo Baroncini back on his bicycle. After nearly a month of hospitalization, followed by weeks of treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery, the Romagna native from UAE Emirates XRG - who was the victim of a terrible accident at the Tour of Poland in August, where he suffered fractures to his vertebrae, clavicle, and neck - has resumed training with his teammates.
A brief video posted by his teammate Juan Sebastián Molano shows us the Baroncini we wanted to see: happy, smiling, in the saddle of his bicycle, ready to joke with his teammates and work on continuing his recovery.
It's too early to know his return schedule, but one thing is certain: 2026 will bring back the Baroncini we know. Go Filippo!
