Tadej Pogacar is the first rider in history to win the Tour of Lombardy five consecutive times. In total number of victories, he has equaled Fausto Coppi, but even the Campionissimo had not managed to win five consecutive editions. The Slovenian superstar has been on the top step of the podium in all five of his participations.
Pogacar is also the first rider in history to:
- win the Tour of Lombardy twice in the world champion jersey (2024 and 2025)
- win the Tour de France and Tour of Lombardy three times in the same year (2021, 2024 and 2025)
- win Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Tour of Lombardy three times in the same year (2021, 2024 and 2025)
- win the Tour of Flanders and Tour of Lombardy twice in the same year (2023 and 2025)
- podium in all five Monument Classics in a single season. In total, 7 consecutive podiums, including his 2024 victories at Liège and Lombardy.
Tadej has conquered his tenth career victory in the Monument Classics, placing himself alone in third place in the all-time ranking, behind only Belgians Merckx (19) and De Vlaeminck (11). He has 14 podiums in 20 participations in the five main line races and 20 total victories in 2025, of which 17 in World Tour competitions. To complete the picture, he won three Monuments out of five in the season, a feat achieved in a single season only by Eddy Merckx (in 1969, 1971, 1972 and 1975).
Evenepoel has secured his second consecutive second place at the Tour of Lombardy, while Storer has allowed Australia to claim its second podium in the history of the Race of the Falling Leaves, 39 years after Phil Anderson's third place in 1986. For Italy, Vincenzo Nibali's victory in 2017 remains the last of 69 total.
