The 2026 roster of the Unibet Tietema Rockets will be rich with new faces, as the French team led by Bas Tietema, Devin van der Wiel, and Josse Wester has decided to part ways with Davide Bomboi, Martijn Budding, Baptiste Huyet, Kevin Inkelaar, Zeb Kyffin, Sebastian Nielsen, Charles Paige, and Andreas Stokbro.
As officially communicated in recent hours, these eight riders will no longer defend the colors of the transalpine team next season, as the team will try to make an additional step both in terms of results and ranking, and credibility, apparently focusing on different profiles and prospects.
"Making this type of decision is never easy," wrote Bas on the Rockets' social accounts. "Whether it's a rider who has defended our colors since our very first race, the Ster van Zwolle, or who joined us in our first year as a ProTeam: each of them has contributed to the Rockets' story. We want to thank each of them for their dedication, professionalism, and energy in recent years. They will forever be part of the journey we have undertaken, and we wish them all the best."
With the possibility of signing elsewhere, these eight athletes leaving Unibet free up a significant space in the roster, given that currently, for the next season, there are barely 17 elements (including Dylan Groenewegen and the young Italian Sergio Meris) under contract.
It is clear, therefore, that in the coming days and weeks, the Rockets will proceed to announce (or close ongoing negotiations for) new highly anticipated signings that will not only bolster a currently thin roster but, in the ideas of their dynamic owners, also make it even more competitive and equipped to approach the team's big dream: participating in the Tour de France, sooner or later.
