Tomorrow, September 28th, the National Bicycle Day at Ghisallo will renew its tradition. The event, a classic end-of-season appointment in the Italian youth calendar, will celebrate its sixty-first edition and will see athletes from the Novice, Junior, and Youth categories competing.

Four races will start from different locations and conclude at the top of Ghisallo, near the Sanctuary dear to cyclists.

The first race to start will be "Cesano Maderno - Ghisallo" reserved for girls in the Novice and Junior categories, who will race side by side. The competition, organized by the Cesano Maderno Cycling Society led by President Giuseppe Fontana, is linked to the Lorenzo Ganassi Memorial and will cover a distance of 42 kilometers. The official start is scheduled for 9:10 AM, with the arrival at Ghisallo (from the Asso side) expected at 10:30 AM. Fans will then be able to applaud the overall winner who will succeed Sofia delle Fontane and write her name in the race's honor roll alongside Ilaria Sanguineti, Elisa Balsamo, Barbara Malcotti, Federica Piergiovanni, Francesca Barale, and Federica Venturelli.

At 11:15 AM, male Novice category athletes will cross the finish line in the 40-kilometer Lambrugo – Ghisallo Giovanna Canali Trophy: the event is organized by the Unione Ciclistica Olympic Lambrugo Lurago chaired by Alberto Gerosa. The race, which will see first and second-year category athletes racing side by side, will start from the Como town at 10:15 AM and climb after passing through the inhabited centers of Merone, Cesana Brianza, Canzo, and Asso. The honor roll includes the Italian champion and 2024 tuttoBICI Award winner Riccardo Longo (first last year), Samuele Privitera (winner in 2019), who will be remembered during the event, Giacomo Villa (winner in 2016), and Filippo Ganna (first at Ghisallo in 2010).

The Albese con Cassano – Ghisallo, a race linked to the Frigerio and Brenna Memorial organized by the G.S. Madonna del Ghisallo with the new president Carlo Ballabio, is reserved for Junior category riders and will start from Fabio Casartelli's hometown at 10:20 AM to arrive at Ghisallo shortly after noon after 73 kilometers of racing. Twelve months ago, Lorenzo Campagnolo from Borgo Molino raised the trophy, but before him, athletes like Juan David Sierra, currently with the Tudor development team, and Antonio Tiberi, a professional with Bahrain – Victorious, distinguished themselves in the race organized by the Larian Society.

The grand finale will be reserved for Juniors competing in the tenth edition of the Olgiate Molgora Ghisallo – Giuseppe Rosanna and Maria Luisa Vismara Trophy. The competition, organized by the Polisportiva Aurora Brian Val, will start from the Lecco province location at 10:30 AM and after several laps of a local circuit will head towards Ghisallo, passing through Valmadrera, Mandello del Lario, Oliveto Lario, and Bellagio. The conclusion is expected around 1 PM after 105 kilometers of racing.

President Cesare Crippa and all the passionate organizing directors are eager to watch the race and award the winner of the 2025 edition who will succeed Lorenzo Finn, last year's world champion.

On Sunday, Guido and Mino Bruno, directors of U.C Comense and coordinators of the inter-associative committee promoting the event, will also be there to applaud the athletes.
