Cycling is not just a passion, but a new way of living and moving. The eighth edition of IBF - Italian Bike Festival, created by Movestro, a company of the IEG group, with the support of APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna, closes today at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli" with numbers that confirm the event's European leadership: over 63 thousand attendees in three days, 1000 bike arrivals, thanks to the constantly active bike parking, and more than 25 thousand test rides carried out on the Shimano Off-Road Arena and Campagnolo Road Circuit. Great success also for the new format of La Gialla Cycling, now a social ride, and its Gialla Family that attracted hundreds of families and celebrated the Misano territory.
A result that reaffirms how the bicycle is at the center of future mobility: sustainable, inclusive, and capable of uniting sport, tourism, and innovation.
"The entry of Italian Bike Festival into IEG's portfolio strengthens our presence in the sports, lifestyle, and leisure market. The event, which is increasingly taking on a B2B dimension, perfectly aligns with our vision of being a community-catalyst in our reference sectors," says Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group.
"IBF is not just a fair, it's a movement that grows every year together with the community. Here, companies, champions, and enthusiasts meet, but above all, the idea of a new mobility takes shape, between tourism and urban mobility, told in the ideal place to amplify the message," adds Fabrizio Ravasio, Managing Director of Movestro Srl.
Over 600 exhibitors: the beating heart of the fair
IBF 2025 saw the participation of over 600 brand exhibitors from Italy and around the world, an international showcase that presented to the public all the market novelties: from top-of-the-range models to more accessible solutions, embracing every bicycle segment - road, mtb, gravel, e-bike, urban and cargo bike.
Animating the stands and test circuits, alongside the companies, were also great cycling ambassadors who transformed the fair into a unique moment of meeting and inspiration, including legends and champions such as Vincenzo Nibali, Fabio Aru, Gianni Bugno and Mario Cipollini, accompanied by figures like Alessandro Ballan, Davide Cassani, Claudio Chiappucci and Omar Di Felice, protagonists of talks, rides and experiences with the public.
The pedaling community
From the first day, the energy of the public made Misano vibrate. The bicycle has confirmed itself as a daily and sustainable choice, no longer relegated to sport or leisure. The significant number of bike arrivals testifies to a gentle mobility that is now a reality. The event reinforced this message also through numerous talks and workshops, which involved the public and institutions in a multi-voice discussion about the future of bicycles and cycle tourism.
The phenomenon fits into a strongly growing national trend: according to the Fifth Isnart-Unioncamere and Legambiente Report on Cycle Tourism, presented in April 2025, in 2024 cycle tourism presences reached 89 million (+54% compared to 2023), with an economic impact of almost 9.8 billion euros. Data that confirms that cycle tourism is no longer a niche sector, but an increasingly relevant driver for the country's economy and sustainable development.
La Gialla Cycling
For its fourth edition, La Gialla Strada became a social ride designed to immerse participants in local culture, among magnificent landscapes and gastronomic delicacies, in its version on dirt roads with La Gialla Gravel. La Gialla Family, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Misano, saw the participation of families and enthusiasts, who had the opportunity to discover the territory in a festive and sharing atmosphere.
Competitive challenges were not lacking: the Junior Trophy and Tipo Pista, with 360 young cyclists who ignited the public's enthusiasm and reaffirmed IBF's attention to cycling's new promises.
IBF already gives an appointment for September 2026, always at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli".
