It's a tough stage with three climbs: the gradients don't reach yesterday's levels, but the Angliru stage may have left some residual fatigue in the riders' muscles, so some surprises can't be ruled out.
On paper, it's an ideal stage for climbers not in the general classification: there's room to attack if you have the legs for it. First, let's note that we're still in Asturias, so there's virtually no flat terrain, and the first third-category climb will be the Alto del Tenebreo (5.8 km at 6.5%, 3rd category) with the summit at km 69.
The Alto de San Lorenzo is a first-category climb measuring 10.1 km at 8.5% with the summit about 30 km from the finish, followed by a steep descent and then the final climb to La Farrapona, an ascent of 16.9 km with an average gradient of 5.9%.
