The big mountain stages arrive and the most anticipated protagonists do not disappoint: Belgian Jarno Widar has stamped his mark on the fifth stage of the Tour de l'Avenir, the 126 km Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc - Tignes stage. Riders had to climb the Col de Saisies, the Cormet de Roselende and then the ascent to Tignes, where Widar managed to prevail over Frenchman Seixas, Norwegian Nordhagen and Ecuadorian Ramirez, with Italian Lorenzo Mark Finn closing in fifth place, 8 seconds behind the winner.
Canadian Decomble maintains the overall leadership in front of Seixas and Finn.
