We were saying this is a stage of difficult interpretation and it is for many reasons: first, it is a short stage that develops on winding and tricky roads. Then in the middle of the stage it offers the Issiglio climb - 2nd category, 5.5 km at 6.5% - which can serve as a launch pad for an interesting action.
Finally, there is a finish that constantly goes uphill with the final 4th category climb, 2.6 km at 3.6%: it is certainly not hard or challenging, but it can be difficult to overcome for fast but less resistant riders and can inspire the action of some attacker looking for a big move.
