A memorable Ferragosto for Marcin Wlodarski, the Polish Junior rider of Aspiratori Otelli Alchem CWC, who was the star in Hungary at the Nation's Cup Hungary, an international stage race valid as a Nations Cup event for the category.
After securing second place in the first stage, the 136.5-kilometer Vásárosnamény-Vásárosnamény route, the 2007-born cyclist repeated his performance on Ferragosto with a ninth place in the individual time trial starting and finishing in Nyíregyháza. These results allowed him to climb to the top step of the final general classification podium.
For Wlodarski, the focus will now shift from road to track: from Wednesday, August 20th to Sunday, August 24th, Marcin will defend Poland's colors at the Junior World Championships on the track in Apeldoorn (Netherlands), following his participation in the European Championships in Anadia in July. Another Aspiratori Otelli Alchem CWC rider, Federico Saccani from Casalasco, has also been called up to the blue jersey. He is likely to compete in the Team Pursuit and the Kilometer Time Trial.
