A beautiful tradition that renews itself, with the fourth team success with three different athletes in the last four years. Briga Novarese is increasingly becoming a conquest land for Team Biesse Carrera Premac, with the Brescia Continental team pulling off a poker in the Piedmont race for Elite and Under 23 thanks to the breakthrough by Nicolò Arrighetti. The rider from Bossico (Bergamo), born in 2004, signs his personal double after last year's victory, fueling the team's dominance in the Sports Grand Prix inaugurated in 2022 by Danish rider Anders Foldager and continued the following year by Giacomo Villa.
On the San Colombano Wall, Arrighetti (already 6th in 2023) beat Marco Palomba from Padovani Polo Cherry Bank and Edoardo Cipollini (MBHBank Ballan Csb Colpack). Completing the team celebration, Trentino Elite rider Federico Iacomoni finished fifth.
"A great team - comments an enthusiastic team director Marco Milesi - six fantastic guys who did an enormous job in the last five kilometers, as we had planned and as happened in previous years. We took the climb from the front, Iacomoni was a good last man finishing fifth as well. Congratulations to everyone because they form a great team".
"It was a linear race - says winner Nicolò Arrighetti - with few breakaways that we controlled well. I knew the finish suited my characteristics perfectly and we set up the work like last year, all my teammates collaborated for me and then I attacked with three hundred meters to go and managed to win".
