For the 2026 season, a collaboration destined to mark the next future of the Juniors category in Italy is born. The Team ECOTEK, a young Brescia-based Juniors team, fresh from the success achieved last Sunday by Sergio Ferrari, will join forces with the Petrucci Zero24 Cycling Team, an important Marche region youth development team that this year has a winning group of cadets, recently crowned Italian time trial champions with Tommaso Cingolani's victory in Friuli.
It will be an interregional affiliation that will allow the two societies to work together and create a single group of young riders who will wear the same jersey in the 2026 season. Team ECOTEK president Luigi Braghini, in addition to confirming current season riders, will integrate his team's roster with promising young talents who are demonstrating great value through results and performances.
"The opportunity for this collaboration arose and we seized it immediately. The Petrucci Zero24 Cycling Team is a serious organization that works very well with its riders and they are proving this every Sunday on roads across Italy. They have interesting riders who will become part of our team. But this project is born with a much broader objective - we want to continue creating a high-level Juniors team that can become a school for many Italian talents. With the Marche organization, we immediately found an excellent understanding and shared vision, and it was easy to think about building something beautiful together," Braghini commented.
Four young riders from the Petrucci Zero24 Cycling Team will wear the Team ECOTEK jersey in 2026. These are Tommaso Cingolani and Filippo Cingolani, Gianmarco Paolinelli and Edoardo Fiorini. Four very interesting athletes, who are currently having a season that sees them as major protagonists in the Cadets category. Petrucci Zero24 Cycling Team Vice President Emiliano Fiorini explained: "This opportunity represents the beginning of a further project that we would like to become long-lasting. We are a Central Italian organization and want to become a reference point for many young riders, also thanks to this collaboration that will provide continuity to our youth development. This collaboration was born primarily from the need expressed by our young athletes to continue their growth path together. ECOTEK, led by President Braghini, with whom we immediately found harmony, is a young organization that shares our same values, principles, and objectives, with which we are certain we can build a training path in the Juniors category."
With this new collaboration, Team ECOTEK positions itself to become one of the most interesting Italian teams attentive to youth cycling. But that's not all. Team ECOTEK has also reached an agreement with two other athletes who are currently competing in the Juniors category with Team General System AWC and will wear the Brescia-based team's jersey for their second year in the category: these are Teo Lancioni and Lorenzo Iaconeta. More riders will be announced in the coming days.
