The news had been in the air for months, and the official announcement comes, as is natural, on the eve of the Tour de France: INEOS Grenadiers Cycling Team has today announced a partnership with TotalEnergies, a world-leading integrated energy company.
The sponsorship agreement is based on the strong industrial relationship existing between the team's owners, INEOS and TotalEnergies, and reflects their shared passion for professional cycling.
John Allert, CEO of INEOS Grenadiers, stated: "We are proud to announce this new partnership with the jerseys, which marks an important milestone in the close relationship between INEOS Grenadiers and TotalEnergies in elite cycling. It offers us the opportunity to pursue our shared goals and ambitions at the highest level of the sport we love: competing at the top and developing the next generation of world-class riders".
Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of TotalEnergies, said: "We are very happy to support the INEOS Grenadiers team through this jersey sponsorship, which reflects the broader industrial cooperation between INEOS and TotalEnergies on a global scale, particularly in Europe and Saudi Arabia. This partnership also expresses our common interest in the Tour de France and elite cycling".
BUT THERE'S MORE...
TotalEnergies, which entered cycling six years ago, has just announced a one-year extension of the sponsorship contract for the ProTeam led by Jean-René Bernaudeau, a team that has obtained the traditional wildcard for the Tour de France. Moreover, TotalEnergies is joining the pool of Tour de France sponsors and thus further enriches its presence in the world of sports where it is active particularly in rugby in France, football in Africa, badminton in Asia, and in two and four-wheel motorsports.
