Marino Kobayashi is retiring from professional cycling. Respecting his decision, JCL Team UKYO confirms that the rider is leaving the team.
The 30-year-old won the Japanese national road championship in the elite road race for the second time in his career: after his success in 2024, he repeated the feat last Sunday for the 2025 title.
In this season, wearing the Japanese national champion jersey, Marino Kobayashi competed in the following competitions: AlUla Tour, Trofeo Laiguelia, Milano–Torino, Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, Tour of the Alps, Wakayama Castle Criterium, Tour de Kumano and Japan National Championships.
The Japanese national championship he just won was Marino Kobayashi's final race as a professional cyclist.
JCL Team UKYO thanks Marino Kobayashi for his contribution to the team and wishes him the best for this new chapter of his life.
