
Marlen Reusser won the third and penultimate stage of the Vuelta Burgos Feminas in a solo breakaway. The Swiss rider from Team Movistar prevailed after 95 kilometers between Valle de Valdebezana and Picón Blanco, finishing 40" ahead of Dutch rider Yara Kastelijn from Fenix-Deceuninck and 1'17" ahead of Italian champion and UAE Team ADQ captain Elisa Longo Borghini. Trentino rider Barbara Malcotti also had a good performance, finishing ninth in the stage.
Following this challenging stage, Reusser takes the overall lead with a 1'10" advantage over Kastelijn and 1'43" over Longo Borghini. Tomorrow, the Spanish race will conclude with a nine-kilometer individual time trial ending in Lezana de Mena.
