
Two victories in two races for Team Nibali, who brilliantly concluded the past weekend; first-year junior riders Giuseppe Giglia and Sebastian Rizzo were responsible for bringing glory to the yellow-red-black team.
MEMORIAL CANNARELLA. A national-level event, taking place in Monterosso Almo (RG), now in its 23rd edition, saw Team Nibali competing on Saturday in a 6600m hill climb with an average gradient of 5%. Giglia completely dominated the competition, completing the course with a final time of 14'29".44, beating Francesco Schembri (Gi Esse Pro Cycling) by 2'43" and Marco Randazzo (Madone Team Bike Sicilia) by 2'48", who finished second and third respectively; Rizzo finished fourth.
CITY OF CARRUBBA TROPHY. In Carrubba (CT), the sixth edition of the small Catanian center's trophy took place; Rizzo won the race, scoring his first seasonal victory and making up for his fourth place in the Monterosso Almo time trial.
