
Gabriele Scagliola is the new Piedmont road cycling champion in the junior category. The 18-year-old Turin cyclist from Caselette, riding for Ciclistica Rostese, won the title in Paesana, in the Cuneo area, where the 66th U.C.A.T. Grand Prix was held over a distance of 101 kilometers. Scagliola, coming off a fourth-place finish at the Legend Cup in Capoliveri mountain bike race, secured his first victory by outsprinting Pietro Solavaggione from Team F.lli Giorgi in the final straight. Giacomo Dentelli from Pool Cantù GB Junior completed the podium in third place.
