The final climb leading riders to the small hill town of San Leolino spread out the riders at the finish line after the previous selection that occurred along the dirt road section covered four times in this third Gran Premio San Leolino-Memorial Romano Rondoni. The excellent and talented Milo Cappelli of Work Service Coratti won, completing the brilliant trip to the upper Valdarno with Carosi's third place. The winner, with a strong final push, crossed the finish line six seconds ahead of Paganelli and twelve seconds ahead of his teammate Carosi. 87 riders started the Valdarno race organized by Asd Cycling Races Valdarno, with 35 reaching the finish line.
