The 5th Emotion Trophy lived up to its promises, delivering great spectacle and repeated twists: the event promoted by Asd Emozione, conceived and carried forward with great passion by Adolfo Sacchetto and Andrea Favot, rewarded World Track Champion Alessio Magagnotti (Autozai Contri) who was clever in resisting the forcing of the best and preceding Brandon Fedrizzi (Petrucci Assali Stefen) and Nicola Padovan (Gottardo Giochi Caneva) at the sprint.

THE CHRONICLE - 149 riders started from Vivaro on a splendid spring day: the first part of the race was very fast, also conditioned by a heavy downpour with the group selecting itself along the slopes of Monte di Ragogna. From the only mountain grand prix of the day, the solo action of Roberto Capello (Team Grenke Auto Eder) was born: the breakaway rider faced all six dirt sections while maintaining a forty-second gap on the chasing group, which became increasingly populated as the kilometers passed.

15 kilometers from the finish, Roberto Capello was also forced to surrender due to cramps, with the peloton, strong of about fifty riders, already launched at very high speed towards the heart of Pordenone.

From the last curve, it was the Trentino Alessio Magagnotti (Autozai Contri) who emerged in the lead, regulating the best riders of the day and crossing the finish line in Piazza XX Settembre clearly in first position with raised arms. Second place for the South Tyrolean Brandon Fedrizzi (Petrucci Assali Stefen) while completing the podium was the Treviso rider Nicola Padovan (Gottardo Giochi Caneva).

THE WINNER AND THE JERSEYS - Alessio Magagnotti, an 18-year-old from Avio, boasts a pedigree as an authentic cycling promise: World Track Champion in team pursuit in 2024, in his first year as a junior, he won a series of road successes including two stages at the LVM Saarland Trophy with the blue jersey and a stage at the Veneto Junior Tour. "At this time of year, I always suffer from allergies, so when we encountered rain, I was happy. On the climb, I went at my own pace, trying to conserve energy because I knew I couldn't keep up with the climbers. Then thanks to my teammates, I managed to get back to the head of the race and in the finale, I felt good and was able to do the sprint I wanted. This victory is dedicated to the entire team, the managers, and Marco Andrea Pierotto, my teammate who did an extraordinary job for me today".

On the Emotion Trophy stage in Pordenone, Alessio Magagnotti wore the black jersey as the Emotion Trophy winner; the green mountain jersey went to the Dutch rider Leander De Gendt (Cannibal), Brandon Fedrizzi (Petrucci Assali Stefen) got the white jersey for best young rider, and Roberto Capello (Team Grenke Auto Eder) received the red jersey for the intermediate sprints classification.

Applauding the commitment of Asd Emozione in Piazza XX Settembre were the Vice President of the Italian Cycling Federation, Stefano Bandolin, the Regional President Michele Bevilacqua, the Vice President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Committee, Michele Biz, the President of the Pordenone Provincial Committee, Raffaele Padrone, the Pordenone City Councilor Walter De Bortoli, and the Municipal Councilor Marco Gaspardo.

"It was a day when all elements unleashed themselves to give us all the emotions of cycling. The riders interpreted this race with great generosity, and an unforgettable day emerged for everyone" commented Adolfo Sacchetto and Andrea Favot at the end of the day.
