Third consecutive and fourth seasonal victory for Treviso's Tommaso Marchi, a super-fast junior sprinter who outpaced the entire group at the conclusion of the Anna and Antonio Fabianelli Memorial on the flat circuit of Spianate near Altopascio. This race was quickly organized by Tuscan junior societies, who each contributed 100 euros to fill the calendar gap created by the cancellation of the Pieve al Toppo race, with support from the Tuscany Regional Committee and technical assistance from Moto Guzzi of Prato-Pirate's Corner. 114 riders at the start, with an eight-lap circuit resulting in an extremely fast race (over 48 km/h average speed), featuring some unsuccessful breakaway attempts, ultimately ending in a final group sprint. Marchi's irresistible burst, a two-time Italian track junior champion, was supported by his teammates' work in preparing his powerful sprint, to the satisfaction of Veneto team director Cristian Pavanello. Second place went to Castelfiorentino's Matteoli, riding for a Lombardy team, with Bolognesi from Team Vangi taking third.
