Today is the 67th Cycling Tour of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria which starts from Bova Marina and concludes on the Falcomatà Waterfront in Reggio Calabria after 183.3 kilometers and approximately 1,800 meters of elevation gain. In Bova Marina (RC), Saturday, April 12th, teams will line up on the Municipal Square stage from 10:20 to 10:50, before forming the starting lineup and beginning at 11:00. The arrival on the Falcomatà Waterfront in Reggio Calabria is expected between 15:25 and 15:50.

The first 49 kilometers of the route are completely flat, before diving into the Aspromonte Natural Park. Leaving Locri begins the climb called Zomaro climb, a 22 km ascent with an average gradient of 4.2%, reaching 959 meters altitude at Piano Maschera. Immediately after the summit begins a fast 14 km descent, arriving at km 89 in Taurianova. From there it's a continuous up and down until Polistena (km 98), then descending to Gioia Tauro (km 124) and climbing back towards Palmi (km 132), where the Monte Sant'Elia begins, a 5 km climb that can make the difference, with an average gradient of 6% and peaks at 10%. After 11 km of descent, passing through Bagnara Calabra (km 151), the road becomes favorable for potential chasers, gradually descending to the finish line in Reggio Calabria.
 
The Calabrian stage represents the third stage of the Regions Cup, currently led by Christian Scaroni, with the VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizan team among the leading squads.

Among the partners of the Regions Cup are Castelli, Suzuki, and Novo Nordisk - Official Health Partner. At the finish of each of the 21 stages of the men's competition, a "Novo Nordisk Health Village" will be set up. The Health Village will host various initiatives for the population such as DrivingChange Arenas, meetings with doctors, patient associations, and local institution representatives to discuss health, sports, and urban wellness, along with cardio-metabolic screenings to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent chronic non-communicable diseases like diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. This partnership continues Novo Nordisk's commitment to the territory through the Cities for Better Health program, addressing topics that combine sports, health, quality of life, and prevention; a global project started over 10 years ago with Italy having the most advanced international network in studying urban health determinants.
