Stefano Guerrini has cycling in his blood: from Brescia, born in 1978, he raced and won since he was a young boy. Amateur with Vellutex under Olivano Locatelli, then four years as a professional first with Panaria from the Reverberi family, then with Team Nippo and finally with Ceramiche Flaminia.
His passion led him last year to found a junior team - Team Guerrini Cycling - which makes multidisciplinary skills its hallmark, featuring girls and boys who can skillfully navigate both road and off-road cycling, including cyclocross.
In the welcoming showroom of Minuter company in Lograto (BS), Team Guerrini Cycling presented its roster and program for the 2025 season, an event attended by, among others, Lombardy FCI Committee President Stefano Pedrinazzi.
The team, which this year counts 10 athletes, 4 first-year and 6 second-year riders, introduced a significant innovation: the presence of three female athletes, an important step highlighting inclusivity and growing commitment to women's cycling.
The new arrivals are: Elisa Ferri, from Tuscany's San Giovanni Valdarno, winner of six Italian cyclocross titles and three MTB titles; Nicole Azzetti, from Trentino, who won the Italian Short Track title in 2022 and last year conquered the cross country Italian title and second place in short track; Valentina Bravi, from Parma, Italian champion in relay and third in the 2023 cross country Italian championship.
In the men's sector, Brescian riders Giovanni Angeli and Gabriele Gatta have joined, while Luca Zaina (son of former pro Enrico, currently recovering from surgery), Filippo Meneghello, Adriano Ferreria, Fabiano Bonzanini and Cristian Grasso have been confirmed.
The initial greeting was delivered by Simone Piccinotti, host, who emphasized how the company supports young athletes not just technically, but as a positive reference point, away from daily life's pitfalls.
President Stefano Guerrini stated: "We are proud that the team's story continues. We strongly believe in this project and together we can achieve great satisfaction."
Vice President Enrico Zaina added: "We consider it very important that Team Guerrini Cycling follows boys and girls in both MTB and road cycling. Multidisciplinarity is fundamental, because only with time can we understand the true value and potential of athletes."
Team manager Paolo Zanesi concluded the speeches, highlighting the company's commitment not only in following athletes but also in promoting cycling organizationally. "This year we've introduced athletes of great value and I'm certain we'll enjoy some beautiful satisfactions. The season started with excellent results and we're moving forward on our path."
The technical and management staff of Team Guerrini Cycling includes trainer Gianbattista Nicolini, sports director Enrico Pezzetti, advisors Moris Guerrini and Simone Piccinotti, secretary Maria Cristina Romagnoli, and assistants Simone Pedretti, Marco Artunghi and Gaia Abbiati.
Ample space was reserved for sponsors supporting the society: Minuter from Lograto (BS), Livigno, Pozzi Bergamo, DueBi Intonaci from Castrezzato (BS), Edok from Vobarno (BS), Gadget Group from San Giovanni in Croce (CR), Creations from Vobarno (BS), Mastro Carrozziere from Castrezzato (BS), Bar de Gnari from Castrezzato (BS) and Brawo Spa from Pian Camuno (BS). The Team Guerrini Cycling bikers will also race this year with Merida bicycles, a successful brand in XC, Marathon and road races.
