The organizers of La Vuelta have chosen the teams that will participate in the 80th edition of the Spanish Grand Tour. La Vuelta 25 will start on Saturday, August 23rd and end on Sunday, September 14th.
In accordance with the UCI regulations, the following 18 UCI WorldTeams are automatically invited to the race:
ALPECIN-DECEUNINCK (BEL)
ARKEA-B&B HOTELS (FRA)
BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS (BRN)
COFIDIS (FRA)
DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE TEAM (FRA)
EF EDUCATION – EASYPOST (USA)
GROUPAMA-FDJ (FRA)
INEOS GRENADIERS (GBR)
INTERMARCHÈ – WANTY (BEL)
LIDL-TREK (UNITED STATES)
TEAM MOVISTAR (ESP)
RED BULL - BORA - HANSGROGE (GER)

TEAM JAYCO ALULA (AUS)
TEAM PICNIC POSTNL (NED)
TEAM VISMA | LEASE A BIKE (NED)
UAE TEAM EMIRATES XRG (UAE)
XDS ASTANA TEAM (KAZ)
LOTTO (BEL) and ISRAEL PREMIER TECH (ISR), leaders in the 2024 UCI ProTeams ranking, will participate by right in La Vuelta 25.
In addition to these 20 teams, the organizers have assigned the following wildcards:
BURGOS-BURPELLET-BH (ESP)
CAJA RURAL-SEGUROS RGA (ESP)
Q36.5 CYCLING TEAM (SUI)
The organizers' decision to exclude the other two Spanish ProTeam formations - Euskaltel and Equipo Kern Pharma, which won two stages in the 2024 edition with Pablo Castrillo - is surprising, opening the doors to the Swiss Q36.5 Pro Cycling, which has thus obtained an invitation to its second Grand Tour of the season after the Giro d'Italia.
