The Loabikers Sports Group has presented the fourth edition of the international women's elite Ponente in Rosa Trophy. The stage cycling event is once again sponsored by the Liguria Region. In fact, the presentation took place in the welcoming Transparency Hall of the Liguria Region in Genoa, in Piazza De Ferrari. The Loabikers stage competition is an official event of Liguria European Sports Region 2025. At the presentation, the Liguria Region was represented by Sports Councilor Simona Ferro.

PROLOGUE IN LOANO - The 2025 "Ponente" will begin with a time trial in Loano on Tuesday, March 11. It will be an individual time trial of 4 kilometers starting from the Loano Marina and passing through Lungomare Madonna di Loreto, via delle Peschiere, viale Martiri della Libertà, Corso Roma, Piazza Mazzini, Corso Roma, with a finish line passage on Lungomare Nazario Sauro.

GENOA: THE RACE'S NOVELTY - The main novelty of the 2025 edition is Genoa's entry among the stage committees. In fact, Alessandra Bianchi, Sports and Tourism Councilor of the City of Genoa, was present at the presentation. On the second competitive day (March 12), there will be the first line stage, Genoa - Borghetto Santo Spirito, 118 kilometers. The teams will be presented in the extraordinary setting of the Old Port.

Then the athletes representing 29 teams will travel a stretch at a tourist pace to Sestri Ponente, reaching kilometer zero. After the effective start, the race will travel for long stretches along the Aurelia State Road. The Ponente stage will pass through Pegli, Voltri, Arenzano, Cogoleto, Varazze (Flying Finish), Celle Ligure, Albisola Superiore, Albisola Marina, Savona, Vado Ligure, Bergeggi, Spotorno, Noli (Flying Finish), Varigotti, Finale Ligure. It will then begin the climb to 1036 meters of Colle del Melogno, the "Ponente" 2025 peak positioned after 79.300 kilometers. The athletes will then travel some downhill stretches until kilometer 88.400, in Calizzano. Subsequently, the road will climb again to 805 meters at Giogo di Toirano (km 99.200). The finish will be predominantly downhill towards Toirano and Borghetto Santo Spirito.

DIANO MARINA, THE TRADITION - Diano Marina will again be the venue for the last stage of the Ponente in Rosa Trophy. The Diano Marina - Diano Marina, although only 71.500 kilometers, will be far from a walk. Initially, the athletes will pedal on the Aurelia. The race will pass through Capo Cervo, Andora, Capo Mele, Laigueglia (Flying Finish) and in Alassio will begin the climb to Monte Pagliassa (elevation 448; 26 kilometers covered). The central phase of the stage will be characterized by false flat stretches up to San Damiano and Testico. The "Ponente" will pass through Passo Ginestro (elevation 672) at kilometer 39, and shortly after at 623 meters of Colle San Bartolomeo (km 44.300). The stretch from Caravonica, San Lazzaro Reale, Chiusavecchia, Pontedassio (Flying Finish) and Imperia will allow the athletes to approach Capo Berta (122 meters; 68.300 km), a springboard towards the finish in the heart of Diano Marina.

At the presentation of the Ponente in Rosa Trophy 2025, Liguria Region Sports Councilor, Simona Ferro, made the following statements: "This year, the Ponente in Rosa Trophy blows out 4 candles, demonstrating that passion and enthusiasm represent the winning recipes of this event that started from an intuition of the Loabikers society, and which over the years has been able to innovate and become an international-level event. In the year of Liguria 'European Sports Region' 2025, this edition takes on an even more significant meaning because it is included in the schedule of events that will make our Liguria the protagonist of the entire sports world, with women's cycling representing a fundamental piece of this 2025 rich in great events".

"Liguria - continued Simona Ferro - has been closely linked to the world of two wheels for years, and this all-female race has become a reference point for road cycling reserved for the elite category. For several years now, we have been witnessing a significant growth in girls who prefer cycling for sporting activity, and the numerous successes achieved in international competitions testify to this".

The Liguria Sports Councilor concluded her intervention: "I want to remember that behind great events, there is always great work that too often goes unnoticed or is not sufficiently valued. For this reason, I want to thank the entire organizational machine because without its active contribution of ideas and effort, we would not be able to witness this moment of great sport".

In turn, Alessandra Bianchi, Sports and Tourism Councilor of the City of Genoa, added: "I am very happy to welcome the Ponente in Rosa Trophy to Genoa's sports calendar because this is a debut that further strengthens the great cycling tradition of our city. Framing this 'first time' will be one of the most representative places in our city: the Old Port. A unique scenario that I am sure will amaze athletes and others, giving them indelible emotions. And of course, offering a truly unique image of Genoa. I wish all the girls good luck and give great praise to the Loabikers organizers who, with their commitment and enthusiasm, have grown this appointment, giving us a race that becomes more iconic every year".
