Athletes from all over the world, the streets of one of the most beautiful and fascinating islands colored in celebration, the Faraglioni rocks as an extraordinary backdrop: these are some of the highlights of the historic 2025 start of the Mediterranean Tour in Pink, the women's stage race that this year will open in Capri.

A historic landing not only for the event organized by the Black Panthers associations and the Biesse group, but for the entire cycling movement: for the first time, an official competition will take place on the island of Tiberius.

An event made possible thanks to the work promoted in synergy by the municipal administration led by Mayor Paolo Falco and Municipal Councilor with sports delegation Alberto Santarpia and the event organizers, Francesco Vitiello and Salvatore Belardo, work that has led to the inclusion of the Mediterranean Tour in Pink among the events that make up the rich program of sporting events for 2025: "This event - says the mayor - together with the others proposed by the municipal administration, represents a true innovation in the approach to sporting events of all kinds, such as to represent an important moment for the entire community".

Also enthusiastic is the sports delegate councilor, Alberto Santarpia: "Bringing the Mediterranean Tour in Pink to Capri is a source of great pride and satisfaction. A result of the synergistic work between the municipal administration and the relevant offices, who strongly believed in this opportunity. This event represents much more than a race: it is concrete proof of our willingness to invest in sports as a lever for growth and promotion for the island, offering Capri an additional international boost".

Specifically, the Mediterranean Tour in Pink will open on the island of Capri on April 9th with a 2.4 km time trial, starting from the Marina Piccola area. From here, the athletes will move to the upper part, with the extraordinary backdrop of the Gulf of Naples and the Faraglioni rocks: "This is an absolutely valuable moment for our event - says the organizing committee president, Francesco Vitiello - We are proud of the choice made by the Capri municipal administration and we are simultaneously motivated to give our best for the perfect success of the inaugural stage. We are already working to fine-tune the organizing machine, in synergy with all the Capri realities involved in the event".

The Mediterranean Tour in Pink, now in its third edition (the first two were won by Lara Gillespie last year and Carlotta Cirpressi two years ago), is scheduled from April 8th to 13th, 2025. The participation is impressive: 24 teams will be at the start, but it should be noted that the organizing committee has received 44 participation requests. From outside Italy, representatives from Scotland, Germany, France, Spain, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Poland, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, and Switzerland will certainly arrive, giving the competition a wide international scope.
