UC TREVIGIANI ENERGIAPURA MARCHIOL. FIRST UNDER 23 TRAINING CAMP BEGINS, CONTINENTAL PROJECT STARTS WITH 12 ATHLETES
CONTINENTAL | 16/12/2024 | 07:55 di comunicato stampa On Tuesday, December 10th, the first official training camp for the Under 23 athletes of UC Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol began, which, starting from 2025, will become part of the Continental teams. This important evolution is the result of the decision by President Ettore Renato Barzi and the board of directors, who chose to give a new push to the project for the upcoming season. During the training camp, the athletes will be involved in aptitude tests, thanks to the support of project manager Luciano Marton,technical director Filippo Rocchetti and sports directors Mirco Lorenzetto and Mauro Busato. On the occasion of the start of preparation, new Bottecchia bicycles were delivered, a historic Veneto brand, Aerospace model, top aero carbon bikes designed for the world of competitions. The bikes, distinguished by the social colors of UC Trevigiani, represent the pinnacle of technology and quality, with top-of-the-range components to guarantee excellent performance. The Bottecchia brand, synonymous with passion for cycling and high technical expertise, has been linked for decades to a long tradition of success and great cycling names, such as Gianni Motta (winner of the 49th edition of the Giro d'Italia in 1966), Rudi Altig (World Champion in 1966 at Nürburgring), Giuseppe Saronni (winner of the Giro d'Italia in 1979), Greg LeMond (winner of the Tour de France in 1989), Stefano Garzelli (winner of the 16th stage of the 93rd Giro d'Italia in 2010 and Tirreno-Adriatico) and Fausto Masnada (winner of the 6th stage of the 102nd Giro d'Italia in 2019). Four athletes have been confirmed for this new adventure in the Continental team: Marco Di Bernardo from Friuli, Simone Griggion from Treviso (winner in 2024 at Ceresara), Riccardo Perani from Brescia (winner in 2024 at Somma) and Luca Rosa from Cuneo. Added to these are eight young promises who have chosen to wear the colors of UC Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol, thus bringing the total number of athletes involved in 2025 to twelve. These young men have distinguished themselves in the competitive events of 2024, with outstanding results, including two young athletes in their first year in the Under 23 category. An ambitious project, with the team fully committed, supported by members and sponsors, to tackle the 2025 season with maximum dedication and professionalism.
