FEDERAL ELECTIONS. FAUSTO ARMANINI CONFIRMED PRESIDENT IN MANTUA

The cycling societies affiliated with the Fci Mantua have unanimously confirmed their trust in President Fausto Armanini, also considering the excellent results achieved during the recently concluded mandate. He will therefore lead the Virgilian two-wheel world for the next four years. All of this took place on Friday evening at the Coni headquarters in Mantua, with Provincial Delegate Giuseppe Faugiana also present, and along with the confirmation of the top executive, there was also the election of the new group of provincial councilors who will support Armanini in managing the various future competitive seasons. Before the election moment, the outgoing president illustrated all the work carried out during the four-year period that has just concluded, with the 2024 season closing on Sunday, December 8th with the Ciclocross Valli del Mincio scheduled in Rivalta sul Mincio. Moreover, Armanini remembered his recently deceased friend and vice president Lido Baracca, highlighting the important work he had done. He then thanked the directors of various affiliated societies, collaborator Adriano Roverselli, now a candidate for the Fci Lombardy Regional Committee, Corrado Lodi and Gianfranco Allegretti, Mantuan representatives of the national Fci, the Municipalities, volunteers, and sponsors for their collaboration. The next step was the election of the two Mantuan delegates to the national Fci assembly, Massimo Costa, president of the Orange Frog Team Bike Piubega, and Simone Pezzini, president of the Uc Ceresarese. Regarding the election of new provincial councilors, four out of nine candidates entered the new Committee. Specifically, the confirmed Giorgio Papa, and the new faces: Franco Favalli, Giovanni Comparin, and Stefano Lodi Rizzini. "I thank the societies for the trust they have placed in me," Armanini declared at the end of the evening. "I emphasize that it is my custom not to leave anyone out. If there are people willing to collaborate with the new committee, the door is always open. Now let's roll up our sleeves and get to work for the new season." Paolo Biondo
